have always loved the mermaid painting by John William Waterhouse.
When The Finnish Doll Society set a theme about famous paintingsin in the exhibition ...
I knew this mermaid would be the subject and reference for my sculpture.
Her hair is soft viscose hair, and she has real eyelashes and -brows, and inserted eyes painted by me.
She would be equivalent with 18 cm (7") figure if she was standing and had feet instead of tail.
She has wooden base which is decorated with rocks, small river pebbles and shells.
